MY excuse: I have only JUST got my computer back from it being fixed... and fifteen days isn't that long is it?? Well, perhaps it is...
Nevertheless, vegan news. I contacted the society in the Glasgow University (vegan society) and they still haven't got back to me, which is annoying. So I was thinking of starting up a vegetarian yum yum society, where we eat and make each other food and go out and explore vegetarian retaurants... yum
So yese, i will be returning definitely to vegetarianism after these strange period of my life. I don't think i could cope with being a vegan for my whole entire life. I respect those greatly who can, but I cannot. My sister is finding it hard to cook for me when I am at hers, and despairs sometimes. The other day her lovely flat mate made us cookies, and I had to refuse them. Cookies :( Cake is also a problem. And cheese. I really love cheese and now I cannot eat it right now. How vexing!
Other things: I found out Halls vegetarian haggis is made without anything milky. awesome eh? So I had that. And ate it Yum. Most of quorn stuff, actually ALL of quorn stuff has egg in it, which just sucks. Percy pigs from Marks and Sparks has gone back to having pork geletine in it, which is ironic as well as being darn annoying. I am writing a lot of crazy poetry about cows and bacon and I smelt sausage rolls the other day in Kelvingrove park which made my mouth utterly water. I have not lived in Tchai Ovna as I thought I would, but nevermind.
Vegetarian burgers are vegan, as are these sweets I have recently discovered, sugar coated things which are amazing and were the only thing I could eat at my last theatre seminar group. Loads of folk brought food, Sophie even went out and bought chocolate raisins for the vegetarians, and I felt so guilty that she had gone through the trouble and I couldn't eat it...
But anyhow. I sit here with my cheerios (and soya milk) and am about to go to tchai ovna... i went yesterday too, but that is still not living there. :D
